Happy Birthday girl!

I had fun doing this cake and we all enjoyed it today at the salon! Happy Birthday Melanie!

Halloween...well, almost

I started thinking about Halloween this past weekend and all the fun tricks and treats that go along with the "holiday". I'm planning on doing some fun Halloween and fall cakes this season. It's just about here!
I started out with this boney character here and added the fondant snake just to creep it out a little. It actually does creep me out everytime I look at it...it looks so real...egh??
I know it tastes just delish though! (The cake...not the creepy snake)

Fondant roses

I am so excited to have made these roses today! I've been wanting to learn for a while and today was the day. I hope to be making alot more roses of all colors and different types of flowers also very soon.

Fondant figures

This week I have been practicing on making characters out of fondant. I was browsing flickr when I came across this adorable little cat couple made out of polymer clay. So I just had to try making them with fondant! I think they turned out pretty cute ;-D

The pumkins were so fun to make and I can't wait to use them on a cake!

Little pig cake

SO, my aunt has a friend who owns a pet pig, the pig has just had baby piglets. She wanted to congratulate her with a special cake...I've been wanting to make a pig cake anyway! Always something new to do and is always fun ;-D

This is another of the cakes that I saw in Debbie Browns book that I had to try. The little lady bug is so cute!

The Beehive cake

I've been wanting to do this cake for a long time now and yesterday was the perfect day for it. It's a cake that is in Debbie Brown's book '50 Easy Party Cakes'. I'll be trying more of the designs in this book soon as I am now OBSESSED with cake decorating! ;-D
